Romanthony is known for his hard deep beats. He has put out many classics like Let Me Show You Love, Bring You Up, and Falling From Grace, among many others. But to me Hold On is one of his finest works. Much smoother than his other releases, he begins with one of Louis Farrkhan’s speeches, then spins a tale about his music going commercial.In his own words: “When my underground sound became overground around 1995, all the trappings and pressures of dealing with worldwide attention threatened to stall the innovation & excitement of (my) club music, instead of giving the $ more attention than the music I decided to ‘HOLD ON’ to the spirit of discovery…”
