This is the first record that the team of Murk, Oscar Gaetan & Ralph Falcon, released. They hailed from Miami and burst on the scene in 1992. Their deep bass lines, well placed samples and vocals by Pamela Williams and later Tamara Wallace, had the deep house scene buzzing. They had several underground hits and eventually went mainstream with the smash hit Fired Up!. U Got Me samples No Smoke’s Koro Koro as well as Jocelyn Brown’s oft-sampled Love’s Gonna Get You. This is some serious deep house. I’m going to feature a lot more Murk classics so be on the lookout.
