In one of my earlier posts I mention David Morales’ remix of Fantasy by Mariah Carey. Well this is it. Surely inspired by Lil Louis’ French Kiss it slows down toward the break and builds back. In my opinion this is one of Morales’ best remixes. He was actually able to get Mariah to come in and re-sing the vocals for the remix. Something unheard of in this day of time-stretching. Reaching number 1 on the US Dance Chart in 1995, Fantasy also won Dance Record of the Year at the Winter Music Conference that year. David Morales did several club mixes on this but to me this one stand out as the best.
